Keywords:

Among the conclusions of several investigations carried out in Cuba, there were the lack of unity between the two educative influences of school and family, and the modification and loss of family traditions. The present article is aimed at supporting a methodology to contextualize the family traditions, to favor the formation of the new generations. Among the methods applied there were case study and modeling. The methodology proposed includes the main issues related to such traditions during the Pseudorepublic and its contextualization. Its departs from orienting parents, teachers and students to actively participate in curricular and extracurricular activities. The work in general takes advantage of the educative value of the family traditions to educate children, adolescents and the youth. These traditions can be contextualized by considering them as a process which take into account the needs, interests, and significance of the socio-historical context of the new generations.
