The diagnosis of the preschool grade and its follow up in the preparatory stage

An educational process of quality should be mainly directed to achieve the integral development in preschool children in Cuba. In this respect, when concluding the preschool stage, diagnostic tasks that answer to the Educational Program are applied, which also allow evaluating the acquired abilities, as background knowledge to more complex learning in the Elementary Education, which are also treated throughout the preparatory stage in the first grade. This study aimed at the analysis of the correspondence between the diagnostic results and those of the preparatory stage in the first grade in Holguin, evidencing the lack of coherence in them and which are not always considered when designing the methodological actions to raise the students´ potentialities to a superior level. Different investigative methods were used for this achievement like the documentary revision, interviews, observation, among others that allowed reaching the foreseen expectations.
