The Environmental Education. Pedagogical Conception to Favor its Development in Primary School Students

The author proposed a Pedagogic Conception on Environmental Education which integrated the environmental dimension into the pedagogic process of different subjects, with the objective of contributing to its development. The conception elaborated for its application in the Elementary School, favoured the inclusion of the environmental dimension in the holistic education of students, taking into account the organization of environmental contents, as well as the curriculum potentialities, the school enviance and the community. The methodological alternatives that were formulated, favored environmental education in primary school students. The alternatives fostered the integration of different subjectsand disciplines within curricular and extracurricular activities.
