Integrative classification of the use of the SE particle: its methodological treatment in higher education

A new integrated and updated classification of the SE particle was made. The study included the analysis of the background information up to the new Grammar of Spanish Language in 2010. Its goal consisted in describing grammatically the SE particle, as a personal pronoun, morpheme of the verb and other indicators of use and its methodological treatment in the Spanish Grammar teaching. The methods used were the documentary and the biographical analysis in the treatment of this particle, the scientific observation and the structural-functional. As a result, ten uses and indicators were established. The exemplifications were made through a contextualization of paradigmatic Cuban authors. The results have been used as auxiliary texts in the Journalism Major in Holguin and in bibliographical collections at the Universities “Universidad de Oriente” and “Martha Abreu”, in Cuba, and as ESL, in the University of Ontario, Canadá.
