Abstract

This study explores the role of educational research in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, focusing on quality education, gender equality, and reducing inequalities. The aim is to analyze how current research approaches contribute to advancing inclusive and quality education, as part of the SDGs. A mixed-methods methodology was employed, combining qualitative methods (expert interviews, focus groups) with quantitative methods (statistical analysis of educational data). Results indicate that, although educational research has made significant progress in understanding the SDGs, important challenges remain, such as the need to better integrate sustainability principles into educational programs and the limited access to resources in underserved contexts. The study concludes that educational research is essential for promoting transformative education but requires further integration of interdisciplinary methodologies and new technologies.
