Abstract

The present article talked about the theoretical and methodological foundations of the vocational guidance and motivation towards the profession, with the objective of designing a methodological workshop with phases and sessions, to favor the preparation of the instructional staff regarding these topics, and increase the motivation towards the career Special Education. The following methods were used: the historical –logical, induction-deduction, analysis-synthesis, modeling, observation, interview, field experimentation and the descriptive statistics. Its application favored the preparation of the teachers who are not from the specialty, on the mastery of the psicopedagogical characteristics of the intellectual special educational needs. The proposal allowed the systematization, from the methodological work with the teaching staff, of actions which favor the vocational guidance in function of the development of motivation towards the profession of the students, using the lesson as the core, and establishing an adequate link between the contents of the different subject matters and the profession specific ones.
