Reading comprehension as an essential component in the Spanish-Literature lessons

This article has as the main objective to present some theoretical-methodological conceptions related to the reading comprehension process, as an essential component in the Spanish-Literature lessons. Such conceptions are accompanied by a set of exercises which become a methodological tool for the teachers. This article has mainly a theoretical character. The contribution is built up by both, the critical analysis of the authors related to the topic, as well as the elaborated exercises. As a conclusion it is stated, that the teachinglearning process of the reading and its understanding constitutes, in the first place, a complex process. This determines its continuous and systematical character. It should be developed in all the school subjects; but it is the Spanish-literature class the most responsible one in granting an essential place to this component. The motivation, as a psychological category, determines the appropriate development of this macro ability, and the exercises for the achievement of the mentioned process must play an important role in this way.
