Labor Training in Cuba. Dimensions, Content, and Educational Praxis

The article discusses vocational training in Cuba, focusing on its dimensions, content, and educational praxis in the Cuban context. The main goal is to analyze how educational programs in Cuba prepare students for the labor market, considering both the socio-economic context and the pedagogical approaches adopted. The study uses a qualitative methodology based on observation, interviews with educators, and analysis of official documents. Results show that while the Cuban educational system promotes practical skills, there is a gap between theoretical training and the actual demands of the labor market. The study suggests the need for an update of vocational training programs to make them more flexible and aligned with the needs of the national economy.
