The The pedagogic professional's cultural identity from Fidel Castro Ruz's thought

Abstract

The author based his work on how Fidel Castro´s thought influences on the development of pedagogical professional´s cultural identity. In carrying out his research, the author determined the theoretical nuclei of integrating potentials in Fidel´s ideals. The Cuban leader's humanistic conception was revealed in a very singular way, since he views humanism from men´s rights to enjoy culture in its links and interaction with history, political culture and its concretion in the considerations on human resources.  Special attention was given to the ethical content of the pedagogic profession, as a concrete way to express the educator's responsibility in people´s moral education. The author concluded that human resources must be figured up based on its own sense of cultural identity: a person who masters science, who knows what to do with his/her knowledge, a person who does something with that knowledge, who enjoys the results of his/her creative work, conscious of the positive social meaning of his/her activity, a person who is a carrier of revolutionary and humanistic values.
