La Educational Supervision as a Management, Didactic, and Research Process
Abstract
The article approached educational supervision as a complex process thatdemands from those who carry it out a thorough preparation andexpertise.It happens because this is itself a management process based on both thefunctional approach and the roles approach; it is also a didacticprocessthat takes into consideration the personal and the non-personal componentsof the teaching learning process. Furthermore, it is an investigationprocess that takes, in its development, educational investigationmethods,techniques and procedures. In developing this work, the author made useofthe following research methods: that of analysis-synthesis,induction-deduction, direct observation on the supervision processes andinterviews to experienced Cuban supervisors. The conclusion arrived atwas that educational supervision calls for transformations to enhanceeducation quality, which can be accomplished just provides thesupervisionprocess is appraised as a management, didactic and investigationprocess.
