La Educational Supervision on Puerto Ayacucho Liberal Schooling Program in the Indigenous Peoples of Amazonas State

Abstract

The work was carried out taking into consideration two objectives: evaluating the need of contextualizing educational supervision to the Program of Liberal Studies in the Amazons State, as well as the training of the supervisors to foster the quality of such program. The methods used in the development of the research were the Case Study, synthesis-analysis, and interviews to supervisors who developed their education and instruction in the Amazonic region of Venezuela. The use of such methods made it possible the methodological triangulation of information. The results yielded referred to the characteristic features of the Program and of the Amazons municipalities, where the experiment was applied. The results obtained showed not only the necessity to maintain it and to enlarge it, increasing its quality, but it also showed the conditions that hindered educational supervision as a way of improvement, as for example, the difficulties in commuting to the region, each peoples´ characteristic traditions, customs and languages. The conclusions arrived at brought about some specifications of educational supervision to the Program of Liberal Studies in the Amazons State; the lack of theoretical and practical basis unveiled through the research process, confirmed the necessity of search for alternatives that my contribute to the improvement of the educational supervision to the Program of Liberal Studies applied to the education of the aborigine peoples in the Amazons State.
