The family as action context of the teacher: activities for a virtual classroom

Pedagogy as a subject contributes significantly to the development of the educational staff performance. In the third topic are studied the different action contexts of the teacher, including the family. However, it was found that there are still gaps in learning this content. To contribute solve the problem, this paper had as objective the identification of a set of educational requirements that are established as elements that enhance, guide and characterize the creation of the virtual classroom of the subject. Empirical methods such as the interviews and the surveys were used and the theoretical one: analysis-synthesis of information sources. According to the educational requirements established, it was structured, in the virtual classroom, the contents related to the family as the teacher´s performance context and it was designed a system of activities, that included electronic analysis of cases, electronic forums, WebQuest and information search. The virtual classroom has been used since the academic year 2011-2012, and has contributed to improve the motivation, learning and communicative skills of the students.
