Treatment to the content of national symbols in preschool children

The education of preschool children in the Cuban day care centers is designed to develop the most of the children’s potential since their conceptions up to six years old. Therefore, it was a necessity to form in them love and respect for national symbols which would evidence in their ways of thinking and acting. However, teachers were not always able to cope with this task; this was a challenge for their preparation. This article aimed at a proposal of methodological suggestions to treat the patriotic symbols in preschool children attending nurseries, which were validated in preschool educational practice. Different theoretical methods were used in this study: the analysis – synthesis and induction – deduction. Empirical ones were also used, for example: observation, surveys, interviews and work with the sources, along with the field experimentation. The results obtained in the teachers’ preparation validated the feasibility of the proposal.
