Permanent Formation of Supervisors for Adult Education in Venezuela

The research carried out assumed as its main objective the explanation of the permanent education and training of the supervisors in the sub-system of Adults Education as a process that took in consideration the andragogenic theoretical approach and the principles of Advanced Education, according to characteristic features of the segment object to investigation. The supervisors´ education and training was in sound accordance with the responsibilities and functions that they carried out, their participation in a help-and-learning process, the necessity of the assisted education aimed at the acquisition of general education knowledge and of specific educational supervision, the attention the supervisor's individual and professional characteristics, and his acquisition of knowledge and abilities by means of this experience and its application. Theoretical Research Methods in Education were used, such as analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction. The authors arrived at the conclusion that the scientific community that approached the topic on teaching training and education acknowledged recognized its important role in bettering up professional performance in attaining their duties and responsibilities; the researchers also made special emphasis on the necessity of directing the preparation, as much to theoretical knowledge as to practical abilities, attitudes and values, according to the specifications of the duties and responsibilities that each of the supervisors must carry out. Such training and education showed to be applicable to the permanent education and training on supervisors for the sub-system of Adults Education in Venezuela.
