Abstract

In correspondence with the call made by the Cuban Association of Pedagogues in order to preserve the life and work of the outstanding teachers from the XXth century, it was developed a research for keeping the relevant history of the Holguin teachers, as well as their theoretical, practical and methodological contributions to the education in the region and the country. Theoretical methods like the analysis-synthesis, the historical-logical, induction-deduction and modeling were used. Likewise, the empirical observation, the survey and the interview. This work was aimed at elaborating a web site containing the professional and pedagogical tradition of such teachers in Holguin; which helps saving and spreading the historical memory. It is used as a teaching-learning aid when training the new professionals of education. It is also used to consult and study the pedagogical, scientific and educative work contained in documents, images, videos and other invaluable historical sources.
