Electro-Energy Transformation 4.0: Multimodal Technological and Educational Methods for Business Competitiveness in Ecuador

Abstract

This study analyzes the Energy 4.0 transformation in Ecuador, assessing its impact on business competitiveness through multimodal technological and educational methods. A mixed-method approach (quantitative and qualitative) was employed, integrating emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, Big Data, mobile learning, mobile devices, and intelligent energy systems, along with multimodal training strategies. An observational study and documentary review were conducted, identifying patterns of technological adoption and their correlation with efficiency, innovation, and workforce skill development. Results show that implementing these technologies, combined with innovative and personalized educational programs, not only optimizes the operation of energy networks and plants but also strengthens technical, cognitive, and metacognitive skills of personnel. The synergy between advanced technology and multimodal education emerges as a key factor for business competitiveness, promoting resilience, sustainability, and continuous innovation in Ecuador's energy sector.
