Abstract

Quality in healthcare is essential to ensure patient safety, service efficiency, and user satisfaction. The training of health human resources must go beyond the acquisition of technical competencies, incorporating a quality culture that integrates knowledge, skills, and values aimed at continuous improvement. The objective was to develop an innovative didactic procedure to strengthen the quality culture in the training of health human resources at the University of Medical Sciences of Holguín, Cuba. A cross-sectional quasi-experimental design was employed with a non-probabilistic intentional sample of 100 health professionals. The procedure was structured into ten didactic actions based on ubiquitous and situated learning, integrating theoretical and practical activities in real healthcare contexts. Quantitative results showed significant improvements in knowledge (35%), attitudes (40%), and practices (30%) related to quality. Qualitative analysis revealed that participants perceived the procedure as relevant, applicable, and motivating for their professional development. The designed procedure is effective and replicable in other health human resource training contexts, contributing to the strengthening of the quality culture in healthcare.
