Artistic activities v/s violence in times of COVID- 19

This work is part of the generalization of the master's thesis "The prevention of violence through artistic education in the initial intensive teacher training" aims to demonstrate the potential of artistic activities to prevent violence in times of pandemic. The research process addressed essential elements of the situation of violence by using methods such as documentary analysis, direct observation, and interviews, conducted by students and teachers in impact tasks, which led to the diagnosis and proposal of artistic activities.
The COVID-19, and associated violence in its various manifestations, has prompted the authors of this work to investigate the subject, which means a challenge for artistic pedagogy, to contribute to a culture of peace, based on the educational and preventive potential of arts education.
