Identity projection of the aesthetic thought of José de la Luz y Caballero

The main objective of this article consisted on revealing the determination and specificities of the identity projection of the aesthetical ideal of Luz, which revolutionary character contributed to the origin of an autochthonous culture, from which the Cuban identity was born when the historical conditions permitted it. The general method that oriented the research was the dialectical one, expressed through the application of the logical procedures of the scientific thought: analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction, mainly when applying the historical-logical method. Among the conclusions, the author of this article stated that the aesthetic conceptions of José de la Luz y Caballero were important contributions to the XIX century Cuban social thought. For its universality, and profound revolutionary character, it helped educating the Cuban generation that changed the history of the country in its epoch. Besides, it was expressed a deep interest for the defense of the Cuban identity and the formation of patriotic feelings, consolidated in the development of the economically independent relationships, conceived to favor the country´s success. He conceived culture as a social phenomenon, which glory came from the vital energy with the own style of those who played a leading role in the revolution, from production, education, science and artistic creation.
