Abstract

This article enriches the analysis of the process of formation of the Cuban Philosophy, stopping at the detailed examination of publications not prioritized in the study presented in previous issues of this magazine, on the transforming and creative spirit of the educational project of the Cuban teacher of the 19th century, Jose de la Luz y Caballero. The objective of the work is to reveal the tributes that the great thinker makes to the teaching of Philosophy and the patriotic education of young people in his fight against spiritualist eclecticism, through his four refutations to José Zacarías González del Valle (Tulio) on eclecticism. de Cousin, published in the month of October 1839. The text presents an examination of the theoretical deployment exhibited in his articles, when dealing with topics that he later develops in his Philosophy chair, in order to systematize a philosophical doctrine that would respond to social needs. from the country.
