Abstract

The Third Educational Revolution and the project of universalization of higher education brought about substantial transformations in the conception of the formation of professionals, in the university of pedagogical sciences. Empirical and theoretical studies about the evaluation of the initial formation of professionals of the Specialty of English revealed insufficiencies in the predominant evaluative conceptions. Based on such insufficiencies, the article presented, as a result, a methodology to evaluate the quality of the initial formation of the students of the specialty previously mentioned. It facilitated a new perspective for the evaluation of the quality of the initial formation of the professionals of such specialty.
