Trends of emotional intelligence in the initial training of Psychology Pedagogy professionals in Cuba

The insertion of the Pedagogy Psychology career in the dissimilar social contexts is of vital importance at the present time due to the vertiginous changes that are taking place in Cuban society. In this sense, in this article a study of emotional intelligence in the initial training of Pedagogy Psychology professionals is carried out in order to determine its main tendencies. As a theoretical study, the historical-logical method was applied, in which the chronology of the facts with their logical peculiarities was complemented, starting from the previous determination of concrete indicators that allowed organizing the analysis as: the antecedents in Cuba, the social, historical and political context of its emergence and evolution, the essential contents of the study plans with their progressive modifications, the predominant theoretical approaches and the professional profile of the psycho-pedagogist. This becomes one of the current challenges to raise the quality in the training of this professional.
