The teaching and learning of problem solving and its challenges as a complex process
Keywords:
complex process; problem solvingAbstract
The authors systematized theoretical aspects regarding different approaches to problem solving and science in general. On this regard the Problem-based Learning and Complexity approaches were considered in order to present a partial modeling of an educational practice that promotes the learning of problem solving. The main objective was to expose a procedural dynamics showing the way to possible solutions to mitigate the limitations that are manifested in teaching problem solving. The proposal came as part of initial training of Mathematics teachers as a result of the research and experience of the authors.
