The development of the aesthetic thought: a pedagogical challenge to the aesthetic education of students

In Cuba, the school’s objective is the integral and humanistic formation of students, that’s why the aesthetic education is a pedagogical challenge. From this point of view, this article deals with the analysis of different theoretical positions, related to the development of the aesthetic thought in the initial formation process of the professionals of education. In order to this, the pedagogical activity must allow students appreciate and enjoy arts with a wide scope, making use of their own creative potentialities, taking into account that nowadays it is a very complex issue the determination of the artistic character of an artwork due to the existing cultural plurality. This study is part of the implementation of the results of the project to which the authors belong: The aesthetic education in the professionals of pedagogical sciences’ formation. The investigation has been carried out by means of the utilization of methods such as: observation of the students in different activities within the pedagogical process, interviews to important informants to deepen into the detected situation, as well as the critical analysis of sources, which allowed studying various sources related with the subject matter.
