Las ideas éticas en las figuras de Enrique José Varona y José Martí Pérez

Abstract

In Cuba, the ethics has a theoretical-methodological support elaborated on the base of the foundations of a Cuban school that is sustained in the contributions offered by the faithful exponents of the Cuban pedagogical thought of the XIX century. Primary Education has wide potentialities in the school curriculum to approach, to foster, and to transmit the ideas of most of those personalities in favor of the formation of moral values. For the importance that they granted to the problems of ethics and morals in the historical periods they lived in the most relevant devises treated by Enrique José Male and José Martí Pérez it plows presented in this work. The first one, in the second half of the XIX century; in the third part of his Philosophical lectures (1882) that allowed him to reach the degree of Dr. in Philosophies and Arts (in 1893), with the title "The positivist moral and the evolutionist one" and, in all the moments of his life, his moral ideals constitute the summit of the Cuban ethical thought. The work constitutes a consulting material for all the educational personnel of the territory and for all the students in formation of the Pedagogical College.
