Abstract

As a social institution, the Cuban University aims at preserving, promoting and developing culture from student- centered precpts. Education is socially concerned with preparing man for life. The university, with his professional training. Marti´s work is rich in ideas for the cultural enlightment of the new man, it includes worthy principles towards a values education and universalmethods for the formation of the new generations. A systematic and profound analysis of Marti´s works is vital for a coherent implementation of his legacy in the educational process carried out in our universities. This work is an effort to adriev this objective.
