Un período de la historia del Instituto Superior Pedagógico “José de la Luz y Caballero” en el contexto de la universalización
Abstract
The Teacher Training College of Holguín is a structured social group reaching thirty-six years of experience. Its history is a key chapter in Cuban education, and in the formation and upgrading of the pedagogical staff. Four periods can be traced in the development of the College, out of which this article deals with the fourth one from the year 2002 to the present day: the so-called ”universalization” of higher education. The following variables were considered: context, institutional aims, developmental tendencies and fundamental historic events in the formation of the future professional, which proved to be landmarks during this period.
