The Transforming and Creative Spirit of the Educational Project of the Cuban Teacher Luz y Caballero XIII

This article enriches the analysis of the process of formation of Cuban philosophy, stopping at the detailed examination of publications not prioritized in the study presented in previous issues of this magazine, on the transforming and creative spirit of the educational project of the Cuban teacher of the 19th century José de la Luz y Caballero. The objective of the work is to reveal the tributes that the great thinker makes to the teaching of Philosophy and the education of young people in his five replies to the Addict on the Question of method, published between the months of February and March 1839. The text presents an examination of the deployment of Luz's conceptualization, dealing in his articles with themes on the Question of Method, Logic, Education, Morals, Psychology, Natural Sciences and Theology. The specificities of his theoretical and methodological contribution to the forging of an autonomous philosophical thought are also exposed.
