Reflections on the negative impact of overprotection on the psychic development of children

Several actions take effect in Cuba, in order to strengthen the educative orientation and preparation to the families. However there are some irregularities, negative patterns which influence on the children since early age. The purpose of this research was to elaborate a program of family orientation, to prevent overprotection to children of elementary schools. It was applied in the elementary school “Sergio Israel Echeverria" in the municipality of Holguín. Throughout the research, theoretic and empiric methods was used, such as: analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction, exemplification, analysis of documents, study of multiple cases, observation, deep interview, poll and specialists’ criteria. The article shows the results obtained after the practical implementation of the project.
