The ideological political education of students of the degree in education specializing in Marxism, Leninism and History

The subject History must propitiate in the students, during their student life, the development of historical thinking, since it is important in their formation as citizens; but for this it is necessary to obtain teachers with this level of thinking. The objective of the article is to show the results of the exploration of the degree of political ideological education and the relation that it keeps with the development of the historical thought of a sample of students in formation of the bachelor's degree in Marxism, Leninism and History. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied, consisting of dilemmas, identification exercises and sentence completions. The results point to weaknesses in political-ideological education and in the development of historical thinking, as well as superficiality in the thinking process in general. Other researches consulted have results that coincide with those obtained and affirm the need to correct these deficiencies in the teaching-learning process.
