Industrial visits to production and service centers, in the development of labor training

Abstract

This article addresses a very topical issue related to how to promote the teaching of Labor Education through visits to production and/or service centers, (the so-called industrial visits). Its objective is to provide a guide for teachers to guide, organize, plan and develop this activity, making their students clarify that science is the foundation of modern technics and production technology, and to become familiar with the organization of modern production and the fundamental directions of current scientific and technical progress; aspects that constitute the essence of this subject and of the labor training to which our society aspires. For its writing, theoretical methods (historical-logical, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction) and empirical methods (observation to classes, documentary review, interviews and surveys) were applied; that allowed detecting the main difficulties existing in the territory of Holguín. With its introduction in pedagogical practice, significant results are obtained when planning and developing these activities, specifying guidelines that allow students to distinguish a new approach to the knowledge of the technique, the development of labor qualities and love of work, as basic premises of education in our country.
