Abstract

In this article were presented the results of a theoretical systematization made about the characteristics of different science approaches. The main objective was aimed at making the foundation of theoretical and practical contributions easier in different branches of knowledge, as well as creates the epistemic foundations for a better way of understanding the world. Among the essential elements of knowledge was presented the General Theory of Systems in a new scientific context in the Century of Complexity. Different scientific methods were used in the research to specify the basic ideas regarding the construction of knowledge. It was concluded that the General Theory of Systems is enriched with the approach of complexity and around these theoretical and methodological foundations are developed different researches nowadays.
