Dimensions of the Environmental Education in the initial formation of professors of the mechanical specialties

The present article explained the environmental dimensions in the initial formation of mechanics professors, with the purpose of providing them with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values related to the environment and its connected problems which can be seen in an environmental behavior in agreement with the sustainable development. It was conceived from the systemic-structural –functional approach, along with the corresponding method, which established each of the components of the Environmental education hierarchically, from the coordination and subordination relations, produced between them both, the students and the dimensions. Likewise, the analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction and the revision of documents, allowed the foundations of every component and dimension. These dimensions can be applied to pedagogical careers in the Vocational and Technical Education at Pedagogical Universities.
