Historical background of the assessment of the institutional quality in industrial polytechnic

This article is the result of the author´s investigation to obtain the master´s degree, which aimed at a study of the genesis of the international tendency of the educational assessment, analyzing how it was, and particularly, in the Technical Education in Cuba; being this, one of the contributions of such investigation. For the conception of this work a study was made about the institutional assessment background in Cuba and different methods were used to reach this objective, among which prevailed the historical – logical, the analysis – synthesis, the inductive – deductive, and the analysis of sources, through which it was established and defined the different stages of the assessment of the quality in the Technical Education in Cuba.
