Emilio Ballagas, poeta de la sensualidad

Abstract

The present article deals with an approach to the poetry books published by Cuban poet Emilio Ballagas (1908-1954) during the 1930’s. In his three main books that appeared in those years the reader can find the relationship between man and nature as well as love relation through the poet’s keen understanding and expression of the sensuous element. The educational value of this work is that it shows how to deal with a difficult issue such as sensuality, helping teacher of Cuban literature to focus this aspect in a better way.
