Abstract

The present work has an objective to present and substantiate a new perspective for the study of the generalization in the teaching-learning process of the grammatical units in the specialty of English at the Teacher Training College. Such perspective is supported by a new quality of the teaching task: its diagnostic-formative functional duality. In the article, the logics followed to support such duality is presented, as well as theoretical criteria that substantiate it. The results exposed constitute one of the contributions of the doctorate thesis developed by the author.
