Resolução de problemas de álgebra no ensino secundário através do método da barra

O estudo se concentra na relevância das representações matemáticas para a resolução de problemas de álgebra no ensino médio, especialmente durante a transição para a matemática abstrata. O papel das representações visuais e algébricas na compreensão e resolução de problemas algébricos é examinado. A metodologia utilizada incluiu o ensino com variação e o método da barra, estratégias que exploram padrões matemáticos. Alguns alunos tiveram dificuldades com o método da barra devido à resistência em desenhar e representar relações quantitativas. Entretanto, para outros, esse método foi útil, pois forneceu uma estrutura visual para a compreensão da igualdade e o reconhecimento das relações entre as quantidades no problema. O estudo ressalta a importância das representações matemáticas e o valor das estratégias pedagógicas que incentivam a variação e o uso de técnicas visuais no ensino da matemática.
