Abstract

The use of podcasts as an educational resource has increased due to their accessibility, flexibility, and alignment with youth interests. This article analyzes the relationship between podcasts and reading motivation through a literature review (2019–2024) and semi-structured interviews with three specialists in education and technology. A qualitative, non-experimental, descriptive design was adopted. Data were examined via thematic categorization and content analysis, using digital tools to support coding and traceability. Findings suggest that podcasts can enhance intrinsic reading motivation and support comprehension when intentionally integrated (e.g., pre-reading prompts, audio book clubs, student-produced episodes). Key challenges include teacher training, connectivity, and the need for longitudinal evidence. The paper offers practical guidelines for classroom integration.
