Procedure for load and capacity balances of the teaching staff at the University of Holguin

The objective of this research is to develop a procedure to carry out load and capacity balances for the teaching staff at the University of Holguin. A theoretical and methodological analysis was carried out, which included work organization studies and procedures to carry out load and capacity balances in the university scenario. The application was developed in the Department of Industrial Engineering of the Faculty of that career, in the second period of the school year 2022, it was found that it has a high student-teacher ratio, but at the same time underutilized. The main cause of the underutilization is that the teaching planning does not cover subjects of disciplines of the department in the period under analysis, which will be covered in the next period. Based on the results of the diagnosis developed, strategies are proposed, aimed at increasing research and improvement actions, mainly doctoral training.
