Characterization of Students with Language Disorders: Regularities of the Transversal Study

The current Cuban education, projects itself from a humanist perspective which is reflected in increasingly comprehensive and personalized school diversity. This constitutes a proposal to the new ethics positions regarding the education of people with special educational needs. There is a group of children within this group, whose needs are from the insufficient development of language, along with its consequent impact in the psychic area as well as in their learning. For their education, the Cuban educational system takes many measures including the speech therapy. In this article are presented the results of the transversal study of five students with special educational needs in the General Development of Language. The theoretical methods used were: the work with the sources through the procedures analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction and the historico-logical. Among the empirical ones, it can be mentioned the case studies, observation, the survey, the interview and the revision of documents.
