Environmental education in the Mathematics teaching – learning process

The present article is the result of the Master's Thesis: "Environmental Education in the Mathematics teaching – learning process in students in the Eighth grade", which objective was the elaboration of teaching tasks to enable the development of an environmental education; as a result, the corresponding improvement actions were carried out. The methods used were: analysis – synthesis, induction – deduction, modeling and the historical – logical one, which permitted the elaboration of the proposal presented from the critical analysis of the different sources, as well as the theoretical and practical generalizations based on the particular and general inferences obtained, both from the practical and theoretical experience. In the second phase of the research process, it was drew up a set of teaching tasks that allowed the development of an environmental education in the students’ learning process in the eighth grade. Similarly, the proposal was pertinent and contributed to raise the methodological training of structures, principals and teachers, and their creativity in the direction of the educational process in High School.
