The role of the church in family orientation in a context of intergenerational coexistence

Abstract

The next research deals with problems of a great impact in the studied context of the neighborhoods, characterized by a high rate of family conflicts, especially motivated by intergenerational cohabitation. A proposal of activities is presented to prepare the families to handle these conflicts using the potentialities of the church as community institution to add it to the actions of the rest of the socializing institutions, adapting the contents and orientation cores to his social role. That is why; the activities have as integration core, the active participation of the people involved, the exchange, discussion, and the creation of a psychological atmosphere of peace, friendship, tolerance, and reconciliation. The family growth, learning and integration are sought with the activities which have a personal significance for its level of affectivity and are socially valuable for the integration, collaboration and prominence of the families.
