Pragmalinguistic study in testaments of Holguin and Santiago de Cuba of the 19th century. Use of argumentative connectors

The work refers to the behavior of argumentative connectors in testaments of the 19th century of Holguin and Santiago de Cuba. The description of these discursive markers is proposed from a pragmalinguistic approach. This analysis shows the behavior with respect to the following properties: form, function, purpose, valence and argumentative orientation in 30 notarial wills, located in the provincial historical archives of these two locations. It contributes to the characterization of the Spanish of Cuba a study on the language in use, based on its thematic and contextual configuration.
