Abstract
The ability of self-assesment of the teacher to be can developed in the different activities of his/her formative process. Pre-professional practice and research are the key elements to achieve it. This article substantiates the need to potentiate self-assessment so that studentsknow how to evaluate their performance. Training professionals of education and detecting setbacks in the process are also fundamental aspects towards an adequate self-assessment.
