The improvement of initial formation of teachers is one of the prioritised tasks of the Universities of Education of the country. The complexity of the goal calls for scientific research. The current paper presents the results of an investigation developed at the Department of Industrial Sciences in “José de la Luz y Caballero” Teacher Training University Holguín. This investigation is aimed at introducing professional tasks in the initial formation of mechanics teachers as integration links to determine and solve professional problems during the aforementioned process.
