Professional orientation towards the choice of careers in exact sciences. A necessary educational strategy

Abstract

The work addresses the process of professional orientation of students towards the choice of exact sciences careers, it is recognized that at present, there is difficulty with students entering these institutions, since not all of them know the purpose, they arrive with ignorance, without developing expectations that lead them towards a professional project. Therefore, the objective is to design an educational strategy for the professional orientation towards the choice of exact sciences careers at the “José Maceo” Pre-university Vocational Institute of Exact Sciences in Guantánamo. A methodological conception is assumed with the use of methods such as: historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, modeling, among others, whose results allowed structuring the educational strategy with its components and their systemic interrelation. In this sense, the evaluation of the results is evidenced, considering the levels of viability and feasibility of the strategy as adequate and pertinent.
