Academic writing: praxis and discursive competence for the university professor from science and innovation

The theoretical, pragmatic and methodological advances at present, allow the study of academic text to be raised from the different educational levels, and in particular from the universities. Its function represents a particular and specific problem in this context, which reflects the interest and concern of its professionals for the dissemination of their scientific results. A university professor is acknowledged according to the academic results that he is capable of presenting. In light of the demands and challenges proposed to the university, the university in turn demands of its professionals an academic and discursive culture that allows them to achieve excellence in teaching, research and services to society
