Information Management for Teaching Improvement in the Faculty of Technical Sciences

Abstract

As part of tear professional performace, teachers must process statistical information that is pertinent, relevant and economic and can be used in the terching-leovning process. This is not always twe, because. Therefore, this work aims at the designing of a methodology that contributes to the teachers´ preparation to process statistical information on the Faculty of Technical Sciences. Theoretical and empirical methods were used: analysis-synthesis, modelling, historico-logical, interviews, surveys and documentary analysis. The methodology has four stages and corresponding procedures that respond to each partial objective. It is based on a theoretical foundation standing on the philosophical categories and the sciences of education. The application of the methodology favored the constant monitoring of the development of education as a process where all the university organizational levels are committed and involved, and where the preparation and upgrading of the teaching staff plays a key role in data processing and presentation.
