Abstract

The research presented is part of the project Integral evaluation of sports preparation for athletes with disabilities in high performance, which responds to the Cuban Sports Research Center. The establishment of plans to correct or compensate postural deformities is fundamental in the sports field, therefore, the process of integral evaluation of deaf and hearing impaired disabled wrestlers is one of the priorities in the Cuban Wrestling Federation. However, there are few updated references on the subject. The objective of this study was to elaborate a methodology for the compensation of scoliosis in deaf wrestlers of the social category. The analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive theoretical methods were applied. With respect to empirical methods, documentary analysis and observation were used. The evaluation allowed to know the current state of the wrestlers, from a postural examination and to elaborate exercises for the compensation of the most significant deformity.
