The Formation of Values in Students of the Economics Degree Course

Abstract

The importance of this study is to highlight the values ??that should be strengthened in the in-training professional of the Economics, an aspect that should constitute the formative basis of the curriculum, so as to develop the professional and human values ??that are needed, in order to be able to assume positive attitudes when facing situations of corruption that may arise in the exercise of the profession. The study carried out part of the analysis of the different aspects of the training process carried out within the degree course of Economics in the Uleam. The basic documents analyzed: curricular model, egress profile, mission, vision, and the fields of action of this professional once formed. As a method for the analysis of contents, there were used the interview and the observation of teaching  and outdoors activities, this allowed to know the treatment of the problem, as well as the fundamental relationships existing in the educational process of training economists. The purpose of these reflections is to analyze the curricular model of the Economics degree course at the Eloy Alfaro University of Manabí (Uleam) in Ecuador, in order to enrich with some ideas the fundamentals of the formation of the aforesaid professional.
